mwgaAbhar (mwgqin persiano ابهر‎) è il capoluogo dello mwggshahrestān di Abhar nella mwgwprovincia di Zanjan in mwhaIran. Nel 2011 aveva mwhq87 396 abitanticite-ref-template-divisione-amministrativa-abitanti-2-1[2]. Si trova nella parte sud-orientale della provincia sulla grande strada di comunicazione che collega mwigZanjan a mwiwQazvin e mwjaTeheran.

La città è un centro universitario scientifico, sede di varie università: tra cui la mwjg Islamic Azad University of Abhar. Circa mwjw20 km a sud-est della città si trova l'antico villaggio di mwkaQerveh.
